Program (formerly known as YLP) and would like to become an active participating member in our Alumni Association, then take this opportunity to find out about the benefits available to you as an active member.
Special Benefits available to all members:
guidance from highly qualified professionals as you progress through college and future endeavors, you will continue reap all the benefits that the ESH staff and community have to offer. You will be invited to attend prestigious events associated with the East Side House and CPLP program and will have access to a series of competitive academic based scholarships that are sponsored by the East Side House.
The Definition and Role of an Active Member:
Village Preparatory High School located in the South Bronx to share their personal college and work experiences with high school classes and assemblies in order to provide students with a realistic yet hopefully positive view of college life. Active members will also participate in, attend, and even help materialize alumni sponsored events which will contribute to the overall success of CPLP’s annual career and college fairs.
CPLP Alumni Advisory Committee:
ongoing development and improvement of the CPLP Alumni Association. After submitting a letter of intent, CPLP staff members will review your application and select the top candidates from the pool of submitted applications. If selected, you will be asked or required to perform specific duties of a Committee Member. The Alumni Advisory Committee will be responsible for arranging an array of events (i.e. an Alumni Banquet, picnic, luncheon, or fundraiser etc…) throughout the year and during the summer. These events will serve to emphasize the importance of community building as a united effort as well as provide opportunities for Alumni and CPLP networking. Some of the committee positions may include but are not limited to a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, public relations, and historian.
