Title:Community Center Director

Program:Mill Brook Community Center

Location:201 St. Ann’s Avenue, Bronx NY 10454

Salary:$40,000 – 45,000

Under the supervision of the Deputy Director, the Center Director is the senior on-site manager with full responsibility for program operations on a day-to-day basis at the Mill Brook Community Center. Areas of responsibility shall include, but are not limited to:

•Responsible for directing programs such as educational and recreational after-school, evening youth and adult programs.
•Coordinate programs and services through supervision of program staff.
•Ensure that staffing requirements are met, and assign resources for special program support such as social work interns and volunteers.
•Ensure functioning of Center Advisory Committee, including regular meetings.\\ Support parental involvement in Advisory Committee and Programs.\\ •Secure proper City & State permits and maintain relationship with City agencies e.g., D.O.H.
•Ensure compliance with agency and external funder’s data collection mandates and procedures as well as other agency contractual obligations.
•Oversee facility maintenance & repair including interfacing with NYCHA, ESH Maintenance supervisor and other program maintenance staff.

Qualifications and Requirements:

•Experience with Supplemental Education Services (SES) Program
•Direct experience overseeing Community Centers
•Familiarity with NYCHA Community Centers
•Understanding of DYCD funded programs
•Bachelor's degree with two years of managerial experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
•Must be able to meet qualifications established by DOH as a School Age Child Care Director.
•NY state issued School Age Child Credential preferred •Strong presentation skills and the ability to represent the organization.
•Superior skills in verbal and written communication
