East Side House Settlement Community Day 2008

Community Day 2008 will be held on Saturday, June 7th, 2008 from 11am – 3pm. This event is the 7th annual celebration hosted by East Side House Settlement. This year’s event, is entitled, “Our Community, Our Future” and will be held outdoors in front of the East Side House Settlement Administrative Office at 337 Alexander Avenue (between 141st & 142nd Street). Community Day features our programs and resources that we offer for the Bronx Community residents, especially those located in the Mott Haven Section of the Bronx.

In addition, Community Day will offer valuable information such as: educational exhibits created by children/youth from our after-school programs, community resources from our Senior Centers, Youth & Adult Education Services (which offers a Literacy Program & a G.E.D Program) and Early Childhood Programs. Interactive demonstrations & presentations from other community organizations, games, music, live entertainment and much more!

We believe education is the key to future success and who says education can’t be fun?! We provide services to families and that is what our Community Day is all about…Our Community is Our Future and this is an event not to be missed!
