EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Group Leader is expected to perform each essential duty of this position in a satisfactorily manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.

•The Group Leader is responsible for implementing and monitoring the educational and recreational programs and activities. Areas of responsibility shall include but are not limited to the following:
 Organize and provide support and/or leadership for groups where the primary program emphasis is to encourage learning, make constructive use of leisure time, develop leadership skills, and enhance social development.
 Work collaboratively with skill developers in implementing the daily lesson plans in a thematic approach.
 Engage and assist participants with classroom assignments and projects.
 Organize and schedule local trips and activities in accordance with the academic curriculum.
 Recommend, develop, and facilitate activities that provide participants an opportunity for growth.

Work Schedule: At the discretion of the supervisor, the Group Leader must:
