PROGRAM COORDINATOR, CODE: (MCC - PC02)
LOCATION: Mitchel Community Center – 210 Alexander Ave, Bronx, NY 10454
Qualifications and Requirements:

'Duties and Responsibilities:'
Under the supervision of the Center Director, the After School Program Coordinator, with latitude for independent judgment, will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
•Oversee the registration process of all programs participants.
•Oversee the coordination and organization of cultural events, special activities, local and out-of-town trips for program participants.
•Supervise/Evaluate part-time staff and coordinate weekly staff meetings.
•Meet weekly with Center Director to receive and provide updates of programming and administrative tasks.
•Assist Center Director to ensure contract compliance as outlined by program work plans and contracts.
•Write quarterly and end-of-program qualitative and quantitative reports.
•Detect and communicate difficulties, problems, or concerns that can affect the productivity and effectiveness of after school programs.
•Maintain and update center’s bulletin boards.
•Maintain flexible hours and work days.\\
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and information. Ability to gather data and to put it into statistical format. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from participants, parents, community, and agencies.
•Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
•Participate in civic and community building efforts and activities as assigned via East Side House Community Development.
Education/Experience:
•Bachelors’ degree preferred with at least two years experience with youth-related works or Associate degree with three years of experience.
•Two years of managerial experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
•Strong presentation skills and the ability to represent the organization in dialogues with other agencies and community meetings.
•Excellent skills in verbal and written communication.
•Demonstrated knowledge of community service/development.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: $25,000 - $30,000
