Position Title: School Based Workshop Facilitator
Program: High School After School Programs
Location: Bronx, NY


Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Workshop Facilitator is expected to perform each essential duty of this position in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.

Minimum Education/Experience:

• A.S Degree with at least three years of experience in community based organization setting.

• Experience creating and facilitating group workshops and projects.
• Organized data entry skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage participants.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Areas of responsibility shall include but are not limited to the following:

• Organize and provide support for Group Leader where the primary program emphasis is providing constructive use of leisure time, developing leadership skills, enhancing social development, or learning specific skills or knowledge.
• Serve as the primary instructor for all necessary workshops related to project development.
• Provide comprehensive training and workshops on resume building, college readiness as well as lessons on improving presentation skills and networking.
• Facilitate educational and recreational activities following established curriculum guides and/or develop goals and plans for these activities.
• Maintain an awareness of needs of individual members, consulting with Program Coordinator.
• Conduct periodic site visits to ensure that program guidelines are met.
• Maintain accurate log of participant data through online and paper entries.
• Escort participants on trips, neighborhood walks and other related activities.


Salary Range:

$15.00 – $20.00 per hour

Hours: 1:00pm – 6:00 pm
