Established in 1984, the Youth & Adult Education Services Program (Y.A.E.S) to provide Youth & Adult Basic Education and Career Education to students 17 and over in an effort to combat the low literacy rate in the community. Y.A.E.S successfully assists individuals in their social and academic growth.

Students receive computer-enhanced instruction to improve their foundation skills in problem solving, communication, computation, and competence in self-management. Students will also participate in a six-week comprehensive computer and job readiness program provided in collaboration with the East Side House Technology Center. Enrollment in our Pre-GED and GED Classes is open. There are no income requirements, and classes are free. Orientations are held on a monthly basis and you must be at least 17 years old to enroll.
