East Side House’s Elementary School programs offer preventive, remedial and enrichment services to children in Kindergarten through the 7th grade. The programs, run in school and community-based settings, enhance a child’s academic and social skills by providing supplementary educational, cultural and recreational activities and events after school.
The school-based programs, offered in partnering elementary schools, enhance students’ literacy and academic skills and provide for a well-rounded experience. Educational methods are used to build and reinforce the skills needed to reach New York State standards for promotion and graduation. The community-based programs, offered in partnering community centers, provide educational, cultural and recreational activities and events for children after school.
