Community Centers for Seniors

East Side House offers a program for senior citizens in three New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) community centers in the South Bronx. The center-based program is designed to meet the needs of older adults and improve their quality of life by providing daily social, recreational, protective and supportive services in a non-medical care setting.

East Side House’s program for seniors is in operation in each of the centers Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm. The congregate meal program is offered Monday through Friday from 12:00pm-1:00pm, with a suggested contribution of $1.50.
