What We Offer
The Smith Campus Young Adult Borough Center (YABC), also a program in partnership with the New York City Department of Education, provides an evening program for 250 students entering their fifth year of high school who need only an additional semester or two to graduate. Students receive a diploma from their home school after they have earned all their credits and passed the required exams. Classes are held in the late afternoon and evening five days a week, with academic support available as needed on the weekends. At YABC, East Side House provides paid internships, career readiness training, academic intervention, college preparation, counseling support, test preparation and relevant workshops to help students achieve their educational and vocational goals.
The Smith Campus Young Adult Borough Center is located at 333 E. 151st Street, Bronx, NY 10451.
The program runs Monday through Thursday from 1:00pm-9:00pm, and from 9:00am-5:00pm on Friday, in accordance with the New York City Department of Education’s academic calendar.
