Having professional clothes that look good instills confidence in a person which then helps lift them up. East Side House and our partners RXR Realty hosted a Clothing for Careers clothing drive at our Mitchel Community Center where community members were able to sort through gently used professional business attire for men and women to wear on job interviews, while working, and at formal events. There were racks of designer men’s dress shirts, sportscoats, suits, ties, and slacks, along with women’s dresses, blouses, sweaters, pants and other fashionable outfits.
East Side House would like to thank RXR Realty for gathering and donating clothes to our community members. RXR is a real estate company investing in our community and the people who reside in it. They are developing modern housing of over 200 units, 30% of which will be affordable housing apartments. They also recently hosted a South Bronx Job Fair looking to hire people within the community looking to work in the construction industry. RXR understands future growth in the South Bronx depends on coming together to help people. We are truly grateful for RXR, they are a great partner to have as they are helping to make the lives better for the people we serve. We look forward to working with them for years to come!
